Description
broken bones on barren earth,
face and hands saturated
with this unfamiliar dirt.
On the dying ground,
I was forced to be confined,
Alone with lock that bears no keyhole,
Here alone till end of time.
Days and nights were all the same,
Darkened sky or blazing heat,
No respite from suffering,
Not even into restful sleep.
Till the day my rescuer came
To my hidden holding place,
Brought by some divine providence
To read the pain smeared in my face.
He reached out,
and broke the barrier
dividing me from
the living world.
His smile gave me strength,
his warmth brought me hope
and brought me home.
I love him,
because he
