Am I really who they say I am?

Just a girl with no life
All she can do is carve herself with a knife

A girl who can't makeup her mind
Her heart as black as coal from a mine

Looking for love even though nothing is there for her
making new cuts when she finds out she ain't any guy's worth

I hear what they say about me all the time
'Nothing but darkness in her screwed up mind'

I'm not screwed up my mind is perfectly fine
your ways to deal with pain are just different from mine

You are able to shed tears whenever you feel down
I've never been able to do that the tears in my body are not to be found

Nobody is the same we all have different ways
My ways and yours, not all will be the same

So why am I the one to be judged for me being me
I'm just like you with a lil tiny difference than what you might be

All in all we're all the same
So why are people who handle hurt like me looked at strange?

The ones you say who need 'help' as if we were crazy
Maybe some are but maybe some aren't maybe, just maybe

We are the 'freaks' and you are the normal
The ones who are dressed 'odd' all the time and not 'formal'

But I like being different I don't want to be the same
I want to be me no matter if you say I'm not sane

I'm taking a stand for the ones who are like me
Stop the maddness and just let us be

So stop the judging us from the outside before looking in
I know now I am not who you say I am neither are the ones who cut with pins

I am not just like you
Living life like others do

Instead of being you I am just.... me
Leave me and everyone else who are't just like you BE
