Description
A new study found that children who had ADHD symptoms at a young age were nearly twice as likely to be obese as teens. The study examined 7,000 children in Finland to determine if ADHD symptoms at age eight were linked to development of obesity by age 16. The results were published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and found kids were twice as likely to be obese by their mid-teenage years.
