1. Submit an Express Entry profile
The first step to apply for PNP is to create an account and an Express Entry profile. If you meet Express Entry requirements in any one of three federal immigration program, you will be further selected into Express Entry pool of candidates
2. Get an Express Entry stream nomination (or have your nomination confirmed)
If any province or territory has decided to nominate you, then you need to confirm your nomination electronically. On submitting your profile, you must give your Express Entry profile number and validation code to province or territory.

3. Get an invitation to apply for permanent residence (once you have accepted your nomination)
If you receive ITA to apply for permanent residence, you have 60 days to submit your application with all supporting documents. When you accept nomination, you will be awarded with 600 additional points in the Comprehensive ranking system.
4. Fill out your application
Once you got ITA for Permanent residence, you will receive a letter that tells you under which program you can apply, how many points you will be given, deadline of submitting application and what next steps you need to take.
5. If the province or territory withdraws your nomination
If any province or territory withdraws your nomination before you are invited to apply for permanent residence, you must withdraw your profile from Express Entry pool and submit a new profile.
6. Ask Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to become a permanent resident.
