Spiros Mar - Meaningless

So here I stand alone in despair
Appraising my thoughts, as they get me nowhere
For everything seems vague, but the form of your face
Unveiling the rapture of life, in all of its grace

Awake I stay at night, in a state of perplexity
Tears surge upon my smile, as I find you in my heart’s intensity
Like a fairy you swirl, you appear and embrace me in my dreams
You wipe my tears, and silence my screams

So delicate your move, and when you‘re close to me it feels
Like I’m surrounded by summer’s soft warm breeze
Strange it is; I can feel your soothing presence
Even when you’re not close to me in essence

Nothing can compare to your hand’s feathery touch
That makes me shiver and rouses inside of me my unspoken lust
Feels like your hands are made of silk
Touch me and I no longer feel my wounds that bleed

When you look at me I get lost in your eyes
There is no trace of reluctance as I step into this paradise
With a sentiment of awe, I stand mesmerized
And I dive in this tranquil sea to ease my sighs

Your smile feels like the rain on dry ground
Sweeping away my nightmares, removing every doubt
Purifying my soul, clearing up my sky
Taking me back where my wings once again can fly

How time weighs me down so merciless
I run this race in vain, the ticking of the clock is pitiless
Nothing I can do than to reside in my emptiness
As I watch you walk away, leaving me meaningless
