TV Tropes really hit the nail on the head with this movie: flawed enough to provide hours of enjoyable riffing, but not a completely unwatchable trainwreck

Kind of funny that the one thing they DON'T ever rip on is that all outside space scenes are footage directly stolen from the original Battlestar Galactica.
