When my stomach feels like
it will come out of my mouth
it’s there, that moment I know
the gods don't want me,
anywhere.

Not my eyes,
nor my words,
not my vision
nor my thoughts on
flies or birds or
my synthetic benevolence.

Now, in everything.
Every breath, every curve,
the unexpressed eggs,
the hormones, unnerved,

Gods have decided
they have what they need
of women with poetry
spreading their seed.
