if you could see me now
you'd think i'm such a mess
it'd worry you and bother you
that i'm not feeling my best

which is why i'm glad you're gone
you don't need to see me like this
thinking of all the times we've had
depressed over everything i miss

you'd worry and i don't want that
i never have and never will
so that's why i haven't called you
and i don't think i can until these wounds heal

so please don't feel abandoned
like i have so many times before
because soon i will come calling
i can't hold out on seeing you anymore
