Soatanana Avaratra 17. Septembre

The malagasy christian leader Rainisoalambo is the "father" of the malagasy revival mouvement. Rainisoalambo lived in the smal village Ambatoreny west of the center Soatanana a 40 km west of the town Fianarantsoa in the middle of Madagascar. One night in 1894, the 15th of October, Rainisoalamba had a very bright vision of the Lord Jesus Christ. This changed his life completely, and for more than half a year he sat down to study the bible with some fellow disciples. So they went out two and two to preach the gospel. The revival was marvelous. Each year the 17. of September "the children of the revival" gather in Soatanana in remembrance of Rainisoalambo. In 1954 this mouvment was splitt in two, and this video is from the branch that left The Lutheran Malagasy Church. But both sides celebrate the 17. of September in Soatanana.
