Smartfish Method Front Quick Swim-Breathing, after learning proper Kick & Roll Swimming
1 Views • Jun 28, 2017
Description
* The task of kicking and rolling laterally for breath recovery while also learning the mechanics ofQUICK SWIM-BREATHING can be very challenging.
* Therefore, it is advisable to teach this first, making sure the student is blowing out the nose underwater & only doing one quick Inhale through the mouth above the water.
* The Puddle Jumper on the hips keeps their posture horizontal. Using both floats is useful when teaching groups.
* Insist that they put their head "all the way down". Verify that they are truly blowing out the nose.
* Eventually, teach them to only blow when going down & coming up. They must hold their breath in between exhales while under water, so that they don't run out of air too fast or hyperventilate.
