I chose to allow the state to try to collect the amount due as part of a tax lien against the company (rather than pay a collection agency a portion). It states in the paperwork that I will receive no updates about the status of my lien and that it may take up to a year or more to collect.
It has been over a year and the employer (organized as a CA LLC) may file bankruptcy, if they haven't already. How do I know if or when my lien will ever be satisfied? -
