She has been for years. 6 years ago we took drastic measures and had her escorted by police and taken to court, where she was ordered to be put into a mental health ward, in which she wouldn't be able to be discharged unless she took medicine. Well after a month up there she started taking it, but then she convinced her doctors to slowly lower her dosages and then eventually take her off of them. Now years down the road things are worse then ever.

My Dad, and 3 brothers along with my 3 yr old nephew live there with her. Her paranoia and sickness are getting worse and the family outbursts are becoming more violent and it seems the sickness is starting to seep itself into the rest of my family.

We recently had a horrible argument on New Years Day. During the argument one of my brothers threaten to blow his brains out, then he starts to hurt himself by ramming his head into the wall. Later on he tried taking off in his car but my littlest brother tried stopping him because he was drunk, so he took a few swings and punched my little brother twice until he was pinned down by my third brother.

My Dad doesn't know what to do... who to contact... he knows if he moves out or divorces my mom he basically has to file bankruptcy... All this because she doesn't believe she needs to take medicine, or she fears if she does that people will say she is on drugs and may use that against her to take my littlest brother away from her!!??

I'm scared my Dad is gonna die of a heart attack because of all this stress, or my brother will off himself or both! And if something were to happen to my father, I fear for my littlest brother being in a house with that crazy woman! He is already hurting really bad... the kid has no spirit or happiness in his eyes... :( does anybody out there have any suggestions what we can do in a situation like this? -
