Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - Florida law on security deposit? - i am renting a house from Satan's mistress. she is the most miserable person i have ever came across. she is getting sued by an old business partner 4 1/2 mill and because of this she has filed bankruptcy and has listed all her rental property's including the one im living in.
there is now a trustee of this house. so now i don't pay my rent to her anymore i pay it to the trustee.
about 6 months ago my air conditioner wasn't working very good so i asked one of my neighbors (who is a licensed ac man) if he would fix what was wrong with the AC. i gave him the number to my landlord to call and work out the details ( i.e. what he was going to do and how much he would charge them). so they worked it out and he fixed it. it was something with the inside of the unit there was nothing wrong with the out side unit. so n e ways the house im living in is now going to be sold and someone came to inspect the house and found out that there was a loose power box switch ( amongst other things) that needed to be repaired. she called me today SCREAMING at me, and told me that i will be held responsible for that repair because i referred my neighbor to her. first of all he didn't even do anything to the outside unit he was mainly inside my house cleaning the AC. my niegbor said it was just a loose box that covers the power switch and it was no big deal. but how can she say i am responsible to fix it? i helped her by asking my neighbor to fix the unit in the first place hell, he only charged he $100 dollars. a regular company would of charged her $100 just to show up ! i have a feeling moving out of here is going to be a big headache ! does anyone know the laws in Florida regarding the process she or i have to follow to get my security deposit. im afraid she is strapped for cash and she's gunna try to stick it to me !!
