Siyaram baba

Siyaram Baba, a revered spiritual leader, was deeply devoted to Lord Hanuman and the Narmada River. Born around 1929, he began his spiritual journey at the age of 17 under the guidance of his guru. In 1962, he settled in Bhattayan Buzurg near the Narmada River, where he established an ashram that became a hub of spiritual learning and peace. His practices included daily recitation of the Ramayana and intensive meditation. He was known for his ascetic lifestyle and extraordinary feats, such as standing on one leg for a decade and observing a 12-year vow of silence.

Baba's life focused on service and simplicity, accepting only minimal donations and dedicating resources to feed animals and support local communities. His contributions included uplifting the ghats along the Narmada River and promoting environmental conservation. Siyaram Baba passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 95 (though some accounts suggest he was older), leaving behind a legacy of devotion, compassion, and humility.
