Simplicity AI - Automated Manufacturing Build Station

Simplicity AI (http://www.simplicityai.co.uk) demonstrate a computer driven video assisted build station which allows production line operators to build up products with ease, by following on-screen videos and text instructions. Component picking is simplified by using a pick-to-light system, which indicates which bin an item is located in via an LED and also detects when it has been has been picked by the operator via an infra-red beam detector. As component bins get emptied the operator indicates this to the software by scanning the barcode on the empty item, which alerts the line supervisor via a traffic light system. At the end of a product build a barcode label in generated to allow identification and tracking of the completed unit.
