Silent march over Deonar dumping site issue held

Mumbai, Feb 03 (ANI): Mumbaikars held a silent protest march on Wednesday in lieu of the Deonar dumping ground issue. Chembur and Deonar districts of Mumbai have been witnessing high levels of air pollutants and smog over time that has affected the locals. Experts said one of the reasons for the poor air quality was smoke due to the Deonar dumping ground fire.The experts also say that various factors, including vehicle congestion, dust from construction sites and presence of polluting industries have impacted the air quality. Locals have also complained of respiratory ailments.
