We; once gazed skyward
Free from the burden
Of created sin
We looked in wonder, at the firmament
With a sense of awe, amazed at what it meant
Through the looking glass I see
The echoes of past reality

Untainted by torment of mankind

Just life and death
We were free of dogma, created to control
Further clerical ambition, with an imagined soul
No love comes from the word from god
Just justice, wrath and rod
