Maybe when
I'm looking in
- And see it all - the walls surround me -
Lost again

I keep my soul
Without a show
- That way my heart - is not un gaurded -
Lost control

How I'm afraid
- Of being hurt - and left for dead -
It's hard to take

Thoughts of you
You're one of few
- That drew me in - from the beginning -
What's to do?

Except to sit here and hold my breath
Hoping you and I will meet at last

If there was one thing, that I've been hoping
It's finally holding - you here in my arms
It's been elusive, don't draw no conclusions
Or be confused - I'll be that shining star
