Scarred Unknown - no safe place

Everything reminds me of you
I can’t go anywhere
Without seeing something of you
A dark corner is what I am left to
My only thing without you

Driving down the road
The trees now changed to an auburn color
Remind me of your eyes staring into mine
When the sun sets
It reminds me of when you left
As a smile returns to my face I remember
My favorite pair of jeans,
Now old and wore
Your hands on my hips, holding me close
And how I wanted more
Sitting in the dark corner now the only safe place
Remembering these things I now realize
This is no longer a safe place
So now I’m stuck with no safe place
But in your arms
