Police recovered the body of a student from Savar river after 22 hours of disappearance.
Savar Model Police Station Police recovered its body while floating in the river in Turag river of Savar's Birulia Union on Wednesday noon.
Police said that on Sunday afternoon, the first year student of Savar University's BBA, Harun Sikder (21), went missing after bathing in the river Turag. Later, the Tongi fire service dive team searched for several hours in the river but could not recover her dead body. Later, locals of Savar Model Police station informed about the body lying floating in the water below the Birulia Bridge of Turag river. Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The matter was presumed in Savar Police Station's Birulia Police Outpost, in-charge SI Tariqul Islam.
The deceased student is the son of Nahar Sikder, a businessman of Kalmaha Uttarpara area of ​​Savar.
