It’s really strange, strange indeed.
That nothing could simply
Change my feelings.

Over the years I have tolerated
Your every onslaught on my emotions
Over the years I have suffered
Your daily rejections.

Still,
I find myself unchanged,
My feelings, still the same.
Strange, isn’t it?

I feel a wonder
At this constancy,
At this stability.

Perhaps,
I shouldn’t be.
Love is really unchangeable like the sea.
Constant like the mountains,
Evergreen like the pea.

Love is what love should be,
A feeling of joy for you, ……from me.
