SASHA 8-22-09

Sasha Yatchenko is a young singer/songwriter from Hopkinton, Ma.
Sasha began writing her own music when she was supposed to be practicing her lessons. By the time Sasha was eight-years-old, poor Miss Agatha had all but given up her dream of turning Sasha into a classical pianist and Sasha’s mother was left wondering what Sasha had been doing in piano lessons for the last two years. Sasha was the only one who knew what was going on.

Soon she was composing on a daily basis and looking for outlets where she could showcase her work. She began performing at open-mics in the area and was asked to perform as the feature artist.

In addition to singing and songwriting, Sasha’s other interests include reading, sports and travel. She has been to Russia twice to visit her grandparents in Siberia and to Ireland to visit the other side of her clan.
