Sandra Osborne - I Try
2 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
can you
too, or has freedom
a laughter
that whispers
and cries
and sings
and still I try
to do what’s right.
Still I wonder
laughter, singing
bright blue bottles for
Jesus Saves.
Who?
Not me, I tried
to far, to long, longer
than I’ve ever seen me
smile or hurt.
And laughter
rocks and stays
alone all night
the moon shines alone.
Without, within,
over, under,
bottles, blue bottles,
girls in jeans
boys in leather
laugh.
Nothings funny here.
Nothings here.
Browns, yellows and greens,
mean lean high machines
of gold and silver
sunshine posters
of weird purple people
in plastic purple
swimming pools.
Water pools.
Red.
Bleed red,
bleed red said the priest,
“God loves you.”
“I love you.”
And I do,
I do.
Still I try.
