Sandra Dodd - The Two Shall Become One
6 Views • Oct 29, 2014
Description
would I feel like just half of me.
For you and I have been so long
my mind can not recall
where me begins and you ends,
or if they do at all.
When we rise I say good, you say morning.
I place the toast, you fetch the jam,
never a word is mentioned.
We are so assimilated
that our first names seem the same.
I do not want to know the day
that the preachers words
become undone
'The two shall become one'.
