Cacophony is uncouth, as you well know
You prize your ears too little
So you are in trouble again, you
With your salvation band

What spirit possessed you
To begin your own revival?

You talk of the latter rain
In Harmattan; this is not correct
It is only dust and faded grass
That surround us now

Not only you know this Jesus
We know him too
Those Witnesses gave us books
And filled our ears

Not with alleluias or loud choruses
Not with drums and shekeres
But quiet meditations and prayer
We too sobbed

No, we did not fall
No one as yet was slain in the Spirit, and
Why do your neighbours alert the Union
To kick you out of town?
