Description

This is the first of numerous videos to replace the missing chapters from the Common Sense Bible Study sessions on Romans. I'm going back a couple of verses to discuss verse 7-11 because Paul uses three kal v'chomer (light and heavy) arguments in this passage. I explain the contrast between dying for a “righteous” versus a “good” person using John 15, arguing that Yeshua died for sinners who are humble, repentant, and committed to faithful obedience. I also talk distinguish justification (debt canceled by Messiah’s blood) from salvation from God’s wrath (final judgment), connect reconciliation to a change of allegiance from sin to God, and stress rejoicing in God and even in suffering.
