Description
This project address the issue of anti-theft using modern methods, specifically using a security robot called Robotino. As the incidents of theft grew more every day, the applications of security systems are more popular than ever to prevent the damages caused by stealing whether at companies, homes or elsewhere. The traditional security system gives some protection to the situation but still has some weak points that cannot be ignored. Therefore, this paper proposes a mobile security monitoring system to improve the security of a specified organization.
There is a gap between the future and the traditional security surveillance systems, there are infinite ideas and attachments that could increase the reliability of the robot. The mission of this project is to create an indoor security system, with a remote monitoring capabilities. Moreover, this project focuses on utilization of the Robotino features, such as face detection or motion detection systems; both can be adapted to record and analyze the invaders. Additionally, most of this project consist of creating a program that navigates the Robotino in any building autonomously, the experiment chose German Jordanian University as a assignment for the Robotino to monitor. The effectiveness of the Robotino's navigation was because of features like, obstacle avoidance and mapping techniques that existed in the Robotino. The basic idea of the project was to create a reliable navigational system for the Robotino, which serves as the basic groundwork for more advanced features. The advanced features includes, human detection and motion detection. Moreover, anti-tempering quality makes those previous features a lot efficient because it is directly connected to the server, so if any damage happened the monitoring user will be notified. Over all, the project was very successful in programming many elements for the security Robotino, like navigational, human detection, motion detection, and anti-tempering characters.
