Robbie Squires - Imperfect Life
0 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
About the time he was a boy
Those times have been over for a while
The singer has grown too old
Theres some debate that we never die
We just move to a different space
Some can tell you from first hand experience
This is true, you just lose your face
The black veil is weeping silently
While hawthorne rolls in his grave
But the cult of scarlet letters
Can tell you which to obey
And this is fine and fancy
In subtle puritan time
But days like this
Makes me wonder
Of why we changed our line
Gonna take killing lessons
From Brutus’s dagger
Gonna learn the ropes
Its gotta certain swagger
But I know one thing
When it comes to killing a man
Do it in a group
Find a helping hand
In a long ago time
You dressed devine
Sitting on gold
In your prime
Then it
All fell out
From underneath your wings
You’re now nothing
Your songbird wont sing
To you
They had your back
In case of attack
But now you’re broke
So now you ask
And they take it as a joke
Before, you were fine
Eating off the grape vine
Wouldn’t settle
For anything less
But now you scrounge
In search of scraps
When life slaps back
And now you’re a mess
