Description

Standing at the railway station,
with all the time to stand and stare;
I free my wild imagination,
and dream as much as I can dare.

What ails that woman so forlorn,
what desperation fills her soul?
What irks that man who stands alone,
like a disgruntled evil troll?

And that young girl, so pensive, lost,
drowning in despondency;
Oh! for peace at any cost,
to live a simple life but happily.

As I still my aching heart, I know I empathise,
I glance again at them and see, pity in their eyes.
