Riversway is a well-established, purpose-built home providing nursing care for 69 people with a range of physical needs. We also provide facilities for 6 younger people with physical disabilities. The home is built over two floors with 30 single bedrooms on each floor and five double rooms in total. All bedrooms are en-suite and are approximately 18 square metres in size.
Situated in a picturesque location overlooking the River Avon, Riversway is only two miles from Bristol city centre and is easily accessed by public transport.
Well trained and skilled staff provide a full and varied range of holistic services including:
• general nursing care
• planned respite care
• end of life care
We also facilitate residents in maintaining spiritual support through the provision of a small Chapel in the home where religious services are conducted weekly by different Ministers of Religion.
Riversway retained its’ ‘Investor in People’ status in 2007, having received it originally in 2004.
Our philosophy is that people are individuals who deserve dignity, respect and person centred care in a caring, homely environment to enable them to live as full and enjoyable life as possible within the confines of their illness or disability.
Residents are offered a range of entertainments, outings and activities in addition to one-to–one time with staff.
The home has a wheelchair accessible mini bus to facilitate trips out.
