Rival parties hold interpellation session on economic issues

The National Assembly will hold another round of questioning sessions of government officials on this Tuesday,... this time focused on the economy.
Rival parties will debate the government's income-led growth policies,... real estate measures,... as well as the recent slew of gloomy economic data.
Another highlight will be the fact that... of the lawmakers on the list of questioners... is Shim Jae-cheol of the main opposition Liberty Korea Party -- who is mired in controversy for disclosing confidential government data on the fiscal budget and other state statistics without authorization.
The finance ministry has filed a complaint with the prosecution against Shim.
He has lodged a complaint of his own,... and his party is standing by him... saying what Shim did was normal activity to prepare for a parliamentary probe.
