God, thou crownest the year with thy goodness,
The jubilee year of the Lord
A year thou hast appointed -
For thou hast kept thy word.

A year of good tidings to the meek
The brokenhearted to unbind
A year of liberty to the captives -
And receiving of sight to the blind.

Thou annointed thine Son with the Spirit
To remove man's bondage of fear
To open imprisoned hearts -
To proclaim thine acceptable year!
