Richard Merrell - NO New Year Resolutions

No new year resolutions will I make -
Nor turn over a new leaf
I will not break a promise
For in this I'd be a thief.
I will not vow before the Lord -
And swear words out of hand
For breaking them would be to steal;
To be with-out the promised land.

I'd rather stand upon what God hath said -
And let Him make the changes
God can do a better job than I;
When my life He rearranges.

So, new year resolutions -
I will leave unto the Lord
The only new leaf I now turn over
Are the pages in God's Word!
