What was the wind's answer
to the waves God! you know well
on the ashes a cloud rains and a new
sapling sprouts from Earth,
a fugitive in search of shelter or
a gulmohar which can spread
its brances as shelter and its
flowers can radiate earthern colors
From where this storm?
is it from the minds or from
heavens above to do and undo death
from the holy fields of sacrifice
where soldiers go to heaven,
fingers bruised no words to
return for the endless struggles
Silence, a gift from heaven or the
ultimate test of patience.
God! you know when to stop
the wind and storm and return
the waves to the shores and
you only know to hold a leaf in a giant
tree or to make it fall or to
play a melody in your
musical instrument...
