Rema Prasanaa - ! EARTH !

This earth of mine is a lotus flower
and I write on its petals my first song
in praise of a lord who protects this earth
of mine with his Sudarshan
This earth of mine is not a fragment
of cloud carries a rain dropp but holds
a vast ocean in its heart and with the same
ease holds a river and a tiny stream
From mountains to hills, to valleys
to beautiful landscapes of nature,
it is the song from the heart of earth
that seasons repeat in their garden
and on that earthen canvas, I sit
and write my first song in praise
of a shield in gold of fire and lit
from its spark a thousands of lamps
to remove darkness and shadows
from minds...
