Rema Prasanaa - ! PERUSAL!

Someone follows me
like the rays of a bright dawn
and I hear the footsteps so soft
as a whisper with no measured
rhythm of a melody
It roars like a wave and hides
behind the rocks of a sea shore
From horizon to endless shores
I searched in vain and from
a distant hill I find it as the shadows
of a past like a painting with colours
poured not in proportions
In one futile attempt, I tried
to run back from those shadows
but they refuse to go back
and follow me and try to blow
off my tiny lamp of dawn
and break the strings of my music,
Day and night I tried to hide
from the shades of those shadows
but it rises like a tidal wave
and recedes....
