A MONSOON MAGIC!

During the monsoon months with the sky
bursting at its seams,
When the lakes are all full to the brim;
Incessant showers blend with the sky’s
rim!
The distant mountains appear in a haze, -
like a dream!
I patiently wait to cross the river of life, -
But I know not how to swim!
My soul turns into a boat of my dreams,
And while I sail in it I see the little children
at play,
Dancing in the rain on this drenching
monsoon day!
And I cross the river watching their merry
dance,
To reach the distant shore in this monsoon’s
magic trance!
