RAJ NANDY - A Haven For Time

A HAVEN FOR TIME

God had created the great blue sky,
A safe haven for stars to rest and shine.
The milky way and the galaxies,
With safe havens and nooks,
for life to be!
But when it came to accommodating
Time,
He had kept our earth uppermost in mind!
For there he created the oceans, both
tranquil and deep,
A haven for time to sink and sleep!
But the resting time, remains half-awake,
And makes the waves to roll and break!
Thus, since centuries and eons past,
Time found a safe haven in earth’s crust!

When time stretches and fully awakes,
It rolls and plays with the dancing waves.
Time loves to frolic, the froth, the fun,
It loves the surf, the sand and the sun ; -
Before it retreats, when the day is done!

It loves to weave changing patterns on the
sands of time,
Washing away our sand castles, we build
all the while!
For this is time’s most favorite game
of all,
To see men rise and men fall!
And when time gets tired and wants
to sleep,
It sinks into its bed, in oceans deep!
