Raghavan Warrier - Excuse Me and Exclude Me!

If it is the list of people responsible for creating the world
That you are preparing, you will have to exclude me.
I don’t do dirty jobs! Never created even a grain of sand.
If your list is that of the glorious ones who run the world,
You will have to excuse me! I don’t make castles in air
Nor try to straighten a dog’s tail.
If you are counting the people who can be comrades
To fight with you; in whatever you do
Don’t count on me.
I don’t carry guns loaded with
Bullets of lies, gossips, deceits and treacheries
For my own self – protection; leave alone you.
If you are seeing in me a friend’s shoulder to weep on
A hand to support when you falter;
Awaken from your world of romantic fallacies
To the simple truth that the world is a self-service counter;
With unlimited dishes to suit each one’s choice.
If you look forward to me as a teacher and guide
I am really sorry! I can’t understand the language
Of the world myself! Let alone guide you with good advices.

Excuse me and exclude me! I am not the fellow traveler
The friend or the guide you are looking for.
Leave me alone to enjoy my bliss in silence.
