Description

When life swirls like whirls of a whip
Hymns and words grope for a Savior.
When coffers fill with clinks of nickel
Shower the Giver with paeans and petals.

Standing in front of you with folded hands
I wanted to pray and ask for favors.
Unfold the bundle of desires and dreams
Persevere with my wish, to make me better.

Standing in front of you with hands folded in revere
I searched
For any part of my mind, that you can not see
For any wish in my heart, that is not your volition
For any word of prayer, that you did not create.

Years of life wasted in your search
In the wisdom of Vedas and jungle of scriptures
Hours of discourse by scholars and saints
Fades into silence of your vibrant presence.

Wrath of a typhoon or breath of a worm
A Yogi in trance or an army in action
A throbbing atom or a dying star
You watch them all and treat them equal.

Gaiety of birth and agony of death
Cliffs of triumph and troughs of defeat
Keep me in middle, on the golden mean
To face the world, like an innocent child.

Away away, you carried away
The center of my world and the axis of my reference
Gliding into Void in the cradle of your love
I melt in joy with your cosmic dance.

Standing in front of you with folded hands
The ecstasy of innocence, of a featherlike present;
Wiped away, my tears of past and fears of future
And I sang like a Robin among the buds of spring.

Standing in front of you with hands folded in revere
I had all the answers without asking any question.
