Rachel Henley - Running With Scissors
3 Views • Nov 10, 2014
Description
I broke all the rules under the influence.
We always knew it was going to end badly.
Still I persisted to defy all regulations.
That one must know when falling in love.
Sadly, the lesson is always learnt a little too late.
Running with scissors, steals control from you.
Leave everything in the blind hands of fate.
I was the beaming definition of self awareness.
Then there I was. Darting with scissors.
You did not place them in my hands.
But they were well within my reach.
I cannot blame you for my foolishness.
Whoever knew scissors could cut this deep.
Once an idea is born, it never dies.
The idea of you loving me. Forever survives.
What an inconceivable danger.
If fate was mine, I would entwine our lives forever.
But there would be something, superficial about it.
Love must be real and untouched by all powers.
For deceiving anothers heart, is deceiving your own.
I am glad that I took the scissors, an unregrettable mistake.
For the brief moment of power and infatuation.
With the chase, the rush, the momentum of it all!
Oh, everything we had, everything I will remember.
Will suffice the deadly childish fall.
