Description

Shiraz is what is known as a ‘quaffable’ wine, which has low to medium levels of acidity which make it very easy to drink. It is usually has notes of fruit and spice in it, and is not very high in tannins. This grape variety originated in the Rhone wine region in France; however it has also been known to thrive in the warm climate of California too. Wine makers who wish to produce a variety with more depth and complexity will often blend the Shiraz grape with Mourvedre and Grenache, in order to produce, headier, full bodied wines -Imperial Wines..
