Public Interest Litigation against Section 66 (A)

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cyber Regulation Advisory Committee in Delhi today which is chaired by Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal. The guidelines have been prompted by an uproar over the arrest of two girls from Palghar under section 66 (a) over a post on Facebook crticising the Mumbai shutdown on the day of Bal Thackeray's funeral.
