Damastion is ancient city in the Balkan Peninsula inhabited by illyrian tribes. The exact position of this city is unknown but is thought to be in Dardania, now Kosovo. This city had its own currency with a Damastionon inscription. In addition, this city was also famous for silver mining from its prestigious famous coins. Of this name we were inspired to create this website.
