Description

On October 6, 2013, engine number 2 of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Airbus A310-308 (registration AP-BEC) caught fire after takeoff from Jinnah International Air Port (JIAP), Karachi. The A310 was operating flight PK-213 to Dubai with 54 passengers and 8 crew members.

The aircraft returned safely to Karachi Airport.
