I'm pleased to present everyone with the Vimeo premiere of my short film "Nice Guys Finish...", produced for the Producers Guild Weekend Shorts Challenge. This year's competition was in honor of late producer Laura Ziskin (Spider-Man 1-3,... Pretty Woman, Hero, As Good As It Gets).

The goal of this challenge was to conceive, write, shoot, edit and upload a 3-5 minute short film in 48 hours, following a very specific assignment criteria:

Genre: Romantic Comedy
The short films were required to have 'rom com' elements, worthy of the films of Laura Ziskin.

Setting: A car or restaurant.
We went with a car setting to bookend the film.

Props: These 4 props were required to be in the movie:
Bouquet of flowers, necktie, credit card, spider
One of these props was mandatory to be an important part of the story. In my film, all of them serve the storytelling

Theme: Mismatched couple or Unlikely Hero
We were required to feature one of these themes in our short film. I went big for my film and tackled both of them!

The assignment details were released to the entrants on Friday 9/6, with completed films due for upload by Sunday 9/8 5pm. Not a minute later! So I assembled a cast, writer, production crew and a music composer to take on this challenge, and I could not have asked for better team of professionals. All of them volunteered their time and talent for this, and for that I am extremely grateful. We all had a great time making this movie, and it shows on the screen!
