I know that this will break me,
I know that this will hurt me,
And break my heart and soul,
I know that this will make me weep,
But at the same time,
I know I must do this,
I must give your freedom back,
But no, i'm not letting you go,
I'm just giving you freedom,
'Cause i love you still,
I love you madly, God knows.

I never broke up with anyone before,
This is my first time,
And I did it,
But I regret it,
Because I love you so much that I cant stop thinking of you,
And I know this is best for you,
But not for me,
And I dont want to be selfish,
I know..you won't come back to me,
I know you won't save this,
I know you won't keep me,
You've been hurting me this way,
So I could be the one,
And here I am, saying im giving you back your freedom.

I may be guilty,
But deep down,
I am innocent,
I never planned for this to happen,
I never stopped loving you,
And there was never a second I felt hating you,
I always loved you,
Always will.
