The sound of the ticking
Is clearer somehow
It gets louder and louder
And time has come now
Am I a coward or a hero for making this choice,
It's a relief to feel nothing, tells me the voice
I'm shaking and sweating, fearful, I could faint
And yet the comfort of departing so young, mourned like a saint
The older I get the world becomes darker
And the inner child fights but..
Children can't fight harder,
It's all pretend
