Modulek were tasked with rescuing a project that had run out of time for a traditional build solution. This meant coming up with a modular option to replicate the same three storey design with the minimum number of concessions all in double quick time.
Our design was put together in a matter of weeks and the off-site production commenced immediately while the busy college site was in operation. Once the summer holiday began Modulek swung into action installing the 15 modules, that uniquely came together to produce the very same building that the client had wanted from the outset, with minimal concessions to the appearance or layout. Most important of all the build completed in just six weeks on-site ready for the new term in September – an achievement that just wouldn’t have been achievable any other way other than with Modulek’s bespoke rapid service!
The facility provided a modern contrast in design to the existing building, and gave the college much needed space for science classes comprising of four laboratories, a library and a preparation room.
The most unique thing about this project was the three storey design, the third storey of modules included the roof which came in five sections fully formed to the full pitch - just placed together on top of the lower modules and jointed together – this was key to the project being completed so quickly as internal work was able to progress virtually the day after delivery – all in the dry.
