Peter Plaut: Career Overview

Peter Plaut has earned himself a place of distinction in the real estate investment world. He has continuously been recognized for his ability to calmly manage financial crises while also creating positive investment opportunities in any situation.

Peter works around the world doing research, negotiating and structuring capital markets transactions. He has been a lead banker on numerous successful consultative assignments, capital raises, and transactions, with both senior management teams and Boards of Directors.

One of Peter Plaut’s many strong qualities is his ambition. Even in college, he wasn’t satisfied pursuing one or two majors; he received bachelor’s degrees from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Management Information Systems, Economics and Computer Science. Not satisfied with slowing down at all, he simultaneously ran the Management Honorary Society of Epsilon Delta Sigma and served as the President and Founder of the RPI Chapter of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity.

Executive management in the world of real estate investment banking is where he feels at home, regardless of whether it’s sell-side or buy-side. Peter Plaut is an expert at doing the necessary research, raising capital, banking investments, and managing portfolios. In addition, he has extensive experience in litigation finance, including many years devising creative solutions to risk mitigation circumstances. He has worked in every industry position, from banker to portfolio manager and salesman to an analyst.

His ability to serve his clients is enhanced by his long-standing relationships with multiple private equity firms, family offices, and sovereign wealth, pension funds, and alternative asset managers. In addition, publications such as Institutional Investor and Alternative Investor both ranked him in the top 20 hedge fund rising stars during the 2008 financial crisis.

Currently, Peter Plaut is serving as the Director of AEDS Advisors Ltd, a management consultant firm. AEDS works exclusively with major accounts such as Wimmer Family Office, the winner of the Real Estate Investment Bank of the Year, as well as the Fortress Credit Fund Legal Assets Group.
